This Just Might Be The Most Perfect Essay Ever Written

They all seem to say the same thing. And maybe you’re saying it too.
“I just need a little more time and a few more tweaks before it’s ready.”
“I can’t share this until it’s perfect”
“After I do this course, I’ll be perfectly ready”
A perfect waste of time
The pursuit of perfection is like chasing a moving mirage. You’ll get your hopes up, spend a lot of energy chasing it. You end up burnt-out and disappointed when you finally realize it was never real. It was just in your head.
At this point you might be saying, “Dale, that’s not true. I brought this perfect pair of My Little Pony socks just last week!”
Sweet. The thing is, perfection is entirely subjective. What’s perfect for someone is a total waste for another.
You know what’s better than perfect? Better.
Your essays, podcasts, newsletters, launches don’t have to be perfect before you share them with the world…just release it — and commit to getting better.
And here’s something crazy that you’ll find — what you think is in need of so much improvement, is just perfect for someone out there.
So go dust off some of those imperfect ideas you’ve been hiding away or constantly working on in private. Share them with the world.
The sooner you do, the more time you have to make them even better and the more likely you are to deliver something that perfect to someone.
Remember, someone needs to hear it from you.
